Kym Aldrich

 

Kym Aldrich was born and raised in the Austin area. She attended Pflugerville High School and was a 3 year Varsity starting defensive specialist. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Sports Science with a minor in Health Education from Texas State University in 2006. Kim is in her first season as the Head Coach at Anderson High School.

After graduating from Texas State, Kym was hired as the Head Volleyball coach at Manor High school. She spent 2 years there organizing and developing a competitive and winning program. She also started to build and train the younger girls in the community by implementing a youth program for grades 3-6. During this 5 week clinic girls were introduced to the fundamentals aspects of the game. In 2009 she took a volleyball job at Vista Ridge High school.

This will be Kym's 4th year coaching club and her 2nd year with Austin Performance.

Kym has played volleyball now for over 13 years. Her club career consisted of playing with Austin Juniors as a defensive specialist/setter. In 1999 her club volleyball team qualified for the Junior Olympics and placed 8th overall! It was such a phenomenal experience that she will remember forever!

Kym's husband, Chad is a coach as well.  He is a Vandegrift High school coaching football and soccer! 

On a side note, The Aldrich's welcomed their first baby this year on April 12th!!  Chase Christian Aldrich!  He is the most amazing little person ever!!
