Miguel played collegiate club volleyball as a defensive specialist at Tomball College for 2 years and at (Southwest) Texas State University for 2 years.  He is currently the Head Volleyball Coach at Regents School of Austin.  In his 7 year tenure, he has led his teams to 4 state appearances with 1 state championship (2000, 2001, 2005, and 2006).  He coached 8 seasons with AIM volleyball and led his teams to the Junior National Tournament in four of those years (2002-3, 2003-4, 2004-5, and 2006-7) at the 16s, 17s, and 18s age groups.  He also served as Assistant Director with AIM volleyball for the past 5 years.
