Rachel Lance

 

 

Rachel has been playing volleyball about ten years now. She is originally from Katy, Texas where she began playing year round volleyball in sixth grade. In high school she played for Cinco Ranch where she was a two year starter on Varsity. As a freshman she was named MVP as well as the Lamar Consolidated Tournament MVP. She helped lead the team to a district championship and bi-district finals her junior and senior year while serving as team captain. She received academic all district both years which helped lead her to a scholarship to play at Texas A & M University-Commerce. While on the team in Commerce she was a starter both years helping the team to reach the conference tournament as well as being recognized as NCAA Academic All Conference her freshman and sophomore year.  

While in high school she was a summer league coach and began helping with the Commerce High School and college camp her freshman year of college. Her love and knowledge of the game helped her land an assistant coaching job for Club Verticals 15 Black team during the 2008-2009 club season. Last club season she was the head coach for the Austin Performance 13 Unity team.  

She is currently attending Texas State University to pursue her goal of receiving a business administration degree as well as a fashion merchandising degree. She is a Chi Omega and also a member of the Club Tenis team in hopes to graduate May 2011.
